If you get the message power surge on USB hub in a little yellow pop-up window your computer is not about to crash and your mp3-player or digital camera will not be damaged.
The warning tells you that your device is trying to get more amps from your USB port in your computer than the computer can provide through a USB port.
There are several solutions to the problem. The easiest solution is just to restart your computer with your mp3-player or camera connected to the USB port. When your PC registers that a device is already connected, it wont show up with the power surge warning message.
Another approach is to right click on start, choose properties-taskbar-customize. Then select power surge and mark the "Always Hide button".
